FAQ's

Our dental cleaning prices follow the BC Dental Hygiene Association fee guide, which is typically lower than the BC Dental Association fee guide. This means dental cleanings at our independent office are more cost-effective.

For complete transparency in insurance billing, we do not bill insurance directly. Instead, payment for your cleaning is collected upfront. We are happy to assist you with any information or documentation needed to submit to your insurance company.

Our standard dental cleaning is based on a 1-hour session and includes an examination, scaling, root planing, polish, and fluoride treatment. Cleanings that extend beyond 1 hour will incur additional costs.

We recommend having your teeth checked and cleaned at least twice a year. Your dentist or dental hygienist may suggest more frequent visits based on your individual needs. If you have a dentist, that’s excellent! We help maintain your oral health between dental exams and are happy to share your records with your dentist. Should we identify any issues during your cleaning, we will inform your dentist immediately or refer you to another trusted health professional.

A new patient dental cleaning appointment includes:

  • Oral cancer screening
  • Intraoral photos
  • X-rays (if needed)
  • Periodontal examination
  • Scaling and root planing
  • Polish and fluoride application

Please note, all services are optional, and nothing is mandatory.

If there are any areas of dental concern, we will refer you to the appropriate healthcare professional, such as a dentist, denturist, or physician, for further care.
